The Trevi Fountain is one of the world’s most famous fountains and is situated in the heart of Rome.
Last Spring, I managed to get some flights to rome and had a short break in the city. My highlight was the Trevi Fountain.
The fountain is stunning, day or night. Of an evening the fountain is lit up and looks beautiful.
The fountain marks the point of an original ‘Acqua Vergine’, which supplied pure water to the Roman people. It is a tradition to throw coins into the fountain and so obviously I had to take part!
If you throw a coin into the fountain then it means you will return to Rome at some point, or if you throw a coin over your left shoulder with your right hand it will bring you good luck. Apparently it is reported that 3,000 Euros are thrown into the Fountain each day!
