I'm usually great with any geeky, techie problems, but I'm at my absolute wit's end with this one.

I bought a new Nintendo 3DS, and I read that my R4 card from my DS Lite wouldn't work with it, so I ordered a new R4 3DS online.

I've downloaded the firmware and installed it onto the microSD chip that you put into the R4 and then I've put on some games to test it out.

But whenever I turn on the DS and load the R4 chip it doesn't load. It usually sits there for a while then crashes or gives me an error message saying to restart or shut down the console.

I've looked on forums, FAQ sections and nothing they've advised has helped, can anyone give me any ideas of a solution? I'm about to throw it out of the window!
